Celebrated University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy (UKCOP) faculty member Jimmi Hatton Kolpek, Pharm.D., R151, retires following an exemplary career as tenured professor and former chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice and professor of neurosurgery in the College of Medicine. She will step down from her role on October 31, 2022, after devoting 33 years to teaching, research, and mentorship.
The University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy (UKCOP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Behal, PharmD, R537, as a post-doctoral academic fellow. The College is reestablishing the Academic Fellow position, and Behal will be the first to hold this revitalized role. Khaula Sawah, Pharm.D., always felt a calling in her heart to help others as if they were her own family. To fulfill that mission, Sawah became a pharmacist, earning two degrees from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy, and performed clinical work in Cincinnati for much of her career. But in 2011, as the Syrian crisis began — Sawah experienced something that changed her life forever.

It's a week of paired presentations, lectures and demonstrations that take a closer look at the yin and yang of science. EiS is a science festival that will be held at different locations all throughout the city, with events happening Monday, March 4th through Friday, March 8th.
