6,500+ PERSON ALUMNI NETWORK

12 UKCOP ALUMNI SERVE AS DEANS OF OTHER COLLEGES OF PHARMACY

Our Alumni Are The Difference

We would not be the place are today – nor the place we aspire to be tomorrow – without the support of 6,500 alumni, donors, and friends. Our graduates are pillars in the field and in their communities, having helped establish this College as one of the top six pharmacy programs in the nation.

We firmly believe in the mantra: “Once a member of the pharm fam, always a member.” We look forward to partnering with our alumni and friends across Kentucky and beyond to strengthen patient-centered care and research.

Volunteer & Giving Opportunities

We thank each of our donors for supporting the College’s education, research, and service missions through their contributions of financial support, volunteer service, and gifts in kind. We are humbled by the generosity of our alumni and friends. These offerings not only ensure the College has the strength to weather any challenge; They ensure that the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy will continue to be a model of educational and professional excellence and a trove of opportunity for students and researchers for generations to come.

Alumni and friends contribute to the College in a number of ways. If you would like to share your time, talents, and resources in support of students and the mission of the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy, please reach out to Alumni Engagement Director, Ellie Goodman, (ellie.goodman@uky.edu).

Volunteer

From serving as a mock interviewer to guiding students during international service missions, our alumni help students become leading pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists with the gift of their time.

Giving Opportunities

Gifts of financial support ensure we continue our legacy as a top institution while creating opportunities for the next generation of leaders.

We wish to remember and honor those who inhabited this Commonwealth before the arrival of the Europeans. Briefly occupying these lands were the Osage, Wyndott tribe, and Miami peoples. The Adena and Hopewell peoples, who are recognized by the naming of the time period in which they resided here, were here more permanently. Some of their mounds remain in the Lexington area, including at UK’s Adena Park.

In more recent years, the Cherokee occupied southeast Kentucky, the Yuchi southwest Kentucky, the Chickasaw extreme western Kentucky and the Shawnee central Kentucky including what is now the city of Lexington. The Shawnee left when colonization pushed through the Appalachian Mountains. Lower Shawnee Town ceremonial grounds are still visible in Greenup County.

We honor the first inhabitants who were here, respect their culture, and acknowledge the presence of their descendants who are here today in all walks of life including fellow pharmacists and healthcare professionals.
