Alumni & Friends Giving Opportunities
We wouldn’t be who we are without you
From its founding, this University has had a legacy of philanthropy. In 1865, a group of Kentuckians gave of their personal resources to begin an educational institution for the Commonwealth. Due to their farsighted generosity and the investments of many others in subsequent decades, our great University of Kentucky stands today.
Through your financial support, you can be part of that rich philanthropic legacy. You can be part of our historic mission to provide education, research, outreach, and service. And you can be part of our driving vision which is not just for a better University, but for a better Commonwealth.
Private support is more important today than ever before. We hope you carefully consider giving to us, and we pledge to always do our part to mindful stewards of your valuable investment.
COVID-19 UPDATE
Many of our students are unable to work as a result of the pandemic and are facing unforeseen financial hardship. A gift to the Pharmacy Annual Fund will help us fill these unexpected gaps.

While some alumni may not be in a position to give financially, we welcome any and all engagement to help support our students. See what opportunities may be available.
Give Where it Counts
Your investment in the College is a direct investment in our students, our faculty, and our staff that enables us to continue this legacy of excellence. Your generosity ensures access to education, enriches learning opportunities, drives the development of new therapies, and improves care for the communities throughout Kentucky and beyond.

Annual giving to the departments or UK College of Pharmacy Dean's Discretionary Fund supports:
- Student professional development
- Facilities, technology, and equipment maintenance and improvement
- Research by students and faculty
- Opportunities for travel to regional and national conferences
- Campus lectures and presentations by prominent educators
- Alumni outreach activities
- The College's ability to quickly respond to timely opportunities

Planned Giving
One of the most effective methods of giving to UK's College of Pharmacy is a planned gift. There are many types of planned gifts, from a simple bequest to a charitable trust. It is important for you to carefully select the best methods and assets for making such a gift. Gift planning will enable you to assist the college in its mission of education, research, and service while also reducing your burden of income, capital gains, or estate taxes.
If you would like to discuss a planned gift, please contact Mary Beth Neiser, Senior Director of Philanthropy.
