Leigh Ann Keeton, PharmD, BCPS
Assistant Professor, Ashland Clinical Education Coordinator
Dr. Keeton currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy as the Ashland Clinical Education Coordinator. In addition to her academic responsibilities, she practices as an infectious diseases clinical pharmacist and precepts students and PGY2 residents in infectious diseases. She is a member of the Kentucky HIV Planning Committee (KHPAC) and previously coordinated antimicrobial stewardship efforts at King’s Daughters Ohio.
She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Kentucky in 1999 and later completed certifications in Antimicrobial Stewardship (SIDP and MAD-ID) and Opioid Stewardship, along with a Critical Care Traineeship (ASHP). She achieved board certification in pharmacotherapy in 2007 and maintains professional membership in ACCP, KPhA, and SIDP.
Dr. Keeton has been with King’s Daughters since 2002 and brings over two decades of diverse pharmacy experience, including roles in community pharmacy, long-term care, correctional health, and as a former co-owner of an independent retail/specialty hybrid pharmacy in Louisville, KY.
