Kebodeaux Honored as APhA-APPM Fellow
Clark Kebodeaux, PharmD, BCACP, associate professor of Pharmacy Practice and Science, has been named a fellow of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA)—one of the highest honors in the profession. This recognition highlights his outstanding achievements in pharmacy education, advocacy, and innovation.

“It is truly an honor to be recognized as an APhA Fellow,” Kebodeaux shared. “This achievement reflects the incredible mentors, colleagues, residents and students I’ve had the privilege of working with throughout my career. He has provided outstanding service to the profession, particularly through his involvement with APhA. He inspires students to remain actively engaged in the organization long after graduation.”

As director of Professional Program Laboratories and leader of the PGY1 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency Program, Kebodeaux has pioneered pharmacist-led care models and has been a guiding force for student pharmacists. His influence extends internationally through his role on the steering committee for MyDispense, a global community pharmacy simulation program.

Alumnus Joey Mattingly Recognized as APhA-APRS Fellow

“Dr. Mattingly is passionate about the profession and works tirelessly to position APhA as the national voice of pharmacy,” Ryan remarked. His commitment to mentoring future leaders is equally notable, having guided two students to national APhA-ASP officer roles during his tenure at the University of Maryland Baltimore.

Mattingly’s prolific research includes nearly 100 scholarly works, many of which focus on critical issues like pharmacy benefit management (PBM) practices and policy reform. “His research has been pivotal in advancing the cause of PBM reform, a key area of interest for APhA,” Ryan added.
