LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 27, 2026)Hend Mansoor, PharmD, PhD, assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy, has been elected a Fellow of the American Heart Association (FAHA), conferred by the Council on Quality of Care and Outcomes Research (QCOR). The honor was officially conferred on April 8, 2026.

The FAHA designation is among the most distinguished recognitions in the cardiovascular and stroke research community, awarded to professional members who have demonstrated excellence and sustained contributions in scholarship, clinical practice, education and volunteer service within the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.

Mansoor's research focuses on cardiovascular disease and stroke prevention, employing a multidisciplinary approach that integrates pharmacoepidemiology, health services research and biomedical informatics. Her work centers on developing innovative tools and interventions to identify individuals at elevated risk for cardiovascular disease and stroke, with a particular emphasis on sex differences, social determinants of health and adherence to guideline-directed therapies. She has authored more than 40 manuscripts in high-impact journals and has received research support from the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities and the American Heart Association.

"I am deeply honored to be elected a Fellow of the American Heart Association," said Mansoor. "This recognition reflects the incredible support of my mentors, collaborators, and students, and it strengthens my commitment to advancing equitable cardiovascular care, particularly for those most affected by disparities in risk and access. I look forward to continuing this work alongside the AHA and QCOR communities."

Mansoor will be formally inducted at the AHA Scientific Sessions in Chicago, Illinois, this November.
