Gavin Howington earned his PharmD from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy in 2014. He began his career at UK HealthCare as a clinical staff pharmacist, holding a variety of positions before transitioning into a full-time emergency medicine role in 2018. In 2020, he moved into academia, joining the faculty at the UK College of Pharmacy. Dr. Howington currently holds several leadership positions within the profession, most recently being elected President of the Kentucky Society of Health-System Pharmacists (KSHP), where he continues to advocate for the advancement of health-system pharmacy across the Commonwealth.
