Rachel Carter, PharmD, MBA
Adjunct Assistant Professor
Dr. Rachel M. Carter obtained her PharmD from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy in May of 2024. In addition to her PharmD, she holds both a Master of Business Administration and a graduate certificate in Improving Healthcare Value from the University of Kentucky. After graduation, Rachel completed a PGY1 residency at PrimaryPlus, a federally qualified health center and practice site for the College of Pharmacy’s community-based residency program.
Rachel is currently a clinical pharmacist at PrimaryPlus in Morehead, Kentucky and an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. Her professional interests include chronic disease state management in the ambulatory care setting, mentoring the next generation of pharmacists, and involvement in organizations. Rachel serves as a clinical preceptor for fourth-year pharmacy students as well as the PrimaryPlus pharmacy resident. Rachel is actively involved and holds leadership roles in the Kentucky Pharmacists Association (KPhA), the Kentucky Society of Health-System Pharmacists (KSHP), the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), and the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
