College of Pharmacy Celebrates Faculty Promotions

LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 9, 2025) — The University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy (UKCOP) proudly announces the promotion of three outstanding faculty members, effective July 1, 2025. Olufunmilola Abraham, Ph.D., and Penni Black, Ph.D., have been promoted to the rank of full professor, and Doug Oyler, PharmD, has been promoted to associate professor. These promotions, approved by the University of Kentucky Board of Trustees, honor each individual’s exemplary achievements in research, teaching and service.

UKCOP takes top honors at the 2024 ACCP Clinical Pharmacy Challenge

LEXINGTON, Ky. (October 16, 2024) —The University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy (UKCOP) has emerged victorious in the 2024 American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) Clinical Pharmacy Challenge, marking its second national championship win since 2017. Coached by faculty advisor Zachary Haffler, PharmD, BCPS, the winning team consisted of fourth-year PharmD students Cameron Howell, Kaylee Meador, and Catherine Barfield.
