Ekinci, Sinclair Take Top Honors in National Kroger/SNPhA Clinical Skills Competition

Two fourth-year UK College of Pharmacy PharmD students took first place at the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) Clinical Skills Competition sponsored by Kroger Co. during SNPhA’s 2015 Annual meeting in Orlando in July.

Ekim Ekinci of Antalya, Turkey and Caitlin Sinclair of Versailles, Kentucky continued a successful competitive year at the Orlando meeting. The pair previously claimed first place in SNPhA’s Regions III, IV and V Conference in St. Louis, Missouri in mid-March.

At the national meeting, Ekinci and Sinclair competed in SNPhA’s Division 2 category, comprised of students from the PharmD Classes of 2016 and 2017. The duo bested 45 other teams in the division.

In addition to receiving a trophy for their efforts, Ekinci and Sinclair secured $750 for the UK College of Pharmacy SNPhA chapter for future Clinical Skills Competition efforts.
