Dr. Elizabeth Autry
Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Autry received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Upon graduating with her Doctorate of Pharmacy in 2012, Dr. Autry went on to complete a pharmacy practice residency at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina. Knowing she had a love for pediatric pharmacy practice, Dr. Autry ventured to Lexington, Kentucky to complete her PGY2 Pediatric Specialty Residency under the guidance of Dr. Robert Kuhn at the University of Kentucky. After finishing her specialty training, Dr. Autry accepted a position as a Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist with an emphasis in Pediatric Pulmonary, working in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Aside from her primary role, she often has the opportunity to cross-cover in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. She serves as a preceptor to PGY1 and PGY2 residents as well as LEEP and APPE students. Dr. Autry currently serves as the Assistant Residency Program Director for the PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency. Her interests include pediatric critical care, pharmacokinetic changes in cystic fibrosis, antimicrobials, patient medication adherence and outcomes, and transitions of care.
